DIRECTOR’S NOTE:

Gregory and I built Voicemail around our shared love for our dads and the fear of stepping into fatherhood without their guidance. It was our first collaboration, shot in a single day to highlight Gregory’s range as he moved from comedy to drama in one story. Inspired by David O. Russell, I used low angles, fast moves, and wide lenses to capture the claustrophobia of his pot-fueled paranoia. What started as a fun, casual project became a way for us to confront those big, daunting emotions about legacy and becoming fathers ourselves.
